Automatic Weather Station (AWS)

Made up of different modules and equipped with various sensors, these stations are capable of taking meteorological data, producing graphs with it, storing it and transmitting it automatically, through the World Meteorological Organization's Global Telecommunication System, without the need for people in charge of carrying out all these tasks. Human intervention is only required for repair and maintenance work, as well as for downloading data, in the event that the AWS cannot transmit it. AWS networks complement those of conventional ground stations and are used both for climatological purposes and for weather monitoring tasks.
