cool

A term with two meteorological meanings. The first, very frequently used, is a qualifier for the thermal sensation experienced when it is neither cold nor hot. It applies to the mildness of some winter days, as well as to the thermal relief provided by shade in summer, particularly when there is some wind. This is also how the environment felt on many spring and autumn days is described. On the other hand, this name is given to force-6 wind on the Beaufort scale, with speeds between 22 and 27 knots (39 to 50 km/h).
