Nephele

The name given to the goddess of clouds in Greek mythology. This deity should not be confused with the nymphs of the clouds and rains, known as nephelai in Ancient Greece. These mythological beings were part of the Oceanids; the daughters of the Titan Oceanus and Tethys. Aristophanes ( ca. 450-385 BC) placed these nymphs in the Aether; the upper region, above the atmosphere and below the firmament.
