Continental climate
A type of climate that dominates in land areas, preferentially in the interior of continents, where there is no oceanic influence. Its main feature is the great daily thermal amplitude, as well as the large temperature differences between winter and summer. In the Köppen climate classification it corresponds to type D, with several subtypes existing depending on the precipitation regime and the temperature range reached in the different times of year.
