relative humidity

The ratio between the quantity of water vapor contained in a volume of air (absolute humidity) and that which the said volume should contain for saturation to be reached. It is expressed as a percentage (%). This variable has the advantage of offering us a numerical value that immediately gives an idea of the degree of humidity of the air. Saturated air has a relative humidity of 100%. The closer the value of the air's relative humidity is to that value, the closer the air is to reaching saturation conditions and to a cloud forming. Relative humidity is also known as the hygrometric degree or saturation fraction and is the most common way of expressing air humidity.
