meteogram
A graphical representation of the time evolution of one or several meteorological variables at a specific geographical location (a point on the map). Numerical forecasting models, thanks to post-processing techniques, allow forecast meteograms to be obtained, in which the future evolution (several days ahead) of different variables is represented, both at the Earth's surface level and at different standard levels considered by the model. Meteograms can be obtained for any point on the aforementioned model's integration grid, although, through interpolation techniques and statistical adjustments, they are obtained for places of interest, such as cities. Thanks to the development of probabilistic forecasts (EPS and ensemble prediction), meteograms are also available that allow simultaneous visualization of both the deterministic and non-deterministic evolution of the various meteorological variables. This forecast product is technically known as an epsgram.
