graupel
Precipitation similar to graupel or cellisca, likewise formed by small ice granules, although in this case they are white, opaque, and smaller in size. Their diameter usually does not exceed one millimeter. Another of their characteristics is that those granules present a slight flattening, taking on the shape of a gragea (pellet). It is also called by this latter name.
