Eurus
The name given in Greek mythology to the wind-god of the east. Classical authors refer to him, interchangeably, as Euro (eurus) or Euros. Depending on which ancient wind rose is considered, the sector of directions of origin associated with him varies, from northeast (NE) to southeast (SE). On the Tower of the Winds in Athens he is depicted on the facade facing southeast (vulturnus), while Apeliotes occupies the east facade. Eurus is one of the four main winds mentioned by Homer, and corresponds to the bearings between ENE and ESE.
