Chemtrail

A word that results from fusing the English words chemical and trail, and which we translate as "estela química." The theory postulating its existence has been vehemently defended since the 1990s by some people - whose numbers have grown thanks to the Internet -, who think that the trails sometimes left by aircraft as they pass are composed of toxic chemical products, intended to cause harm to the population. According to those claims, there is a secret plan to carry out massive spraying operations around the world, whose irrefutable proof is the aforementioned aircraft trails. These theories are rebutted by the scientific community, as there is no evidence whatsoever to support the basis of that conspiracy theory.
