cap cloud
A colloquial way of referring to the cloud sitting on a mountain summit. In some cases it corresponds to a cap cloud, with its characteristic hat shape, and in others it may be the cloud wall (foehn wall) that emerges from the windward side over the upper part of the mountains, enveloping the peaks.
