shoulder season weather
A transitional period of weather between spring and summer and between summer and autumn, in which large temperature contrasts between day and night usually occur. This circumstance complicates the choice of the most suitable clothing to wear when leaving the house, since, although it is habitually cold early in the morning and at the end of the afternoon, for much of the day the environment is hot and short sleeves are enough. Daily thermal amplitudes during this shoulder season are particularly large in areas with a continental climate.
