howling cold wind
A cold, intense, and penetrating wind, frequently associated with a whistle or characteristic sound, to which the term itself refers (bufar - to snort/howl). It also has a second meteorological meaning: the valley fog that rises up a mountainside. There are some variants of the term, such as bruga (a local term used in Argentina) or bufo.
