agrometeorological station

An automatic weather station whose main function is to obtain data of interest for agriculture. It does not differ from those used in other fields, although in some cases it includes sensors that measure non-conventional variables, such as soil temperature at different depths. Networks of agrometeorological stations are usually managed by public bodies linked to the agricultural sector.
